A film and visual content company crafting bold, character-driven drama for screen and stage.
House of Bear Studio is an independent media company founded by Jonathan Cardell Sims, Sr. We develop scripted drama for film, television, stage, and the new vertical formats — work that values melodrama as a serious art, and treats every character's conflict like it matters.
Our crest is older than our company. The bear stands; the spears cross; the words endure. We build in that spirit — rooted in heritage, sharpened for the screen, and made to last beyond the frame.
Built on patience and purpose, the studio embraces the long game. We believe stories should earn their place—not through urgency, but through craft. First on the page, then on the screen, and ultimately in the memories of those who experience them.
A struggling author steals private conflicts from the couple next door for his new book—then becomes entangled in a disappearance eerily reflected in his pages.
Open a screenplay and get a scene breakdown grouped by location, a shooting schedule built to twelve-hour days, a Day Out of Days, and a budget with SAG scale already in it. Built for our own productions, and free to use.
